HOW WE CREATED OUR GOALS
Caddick Group’s ESG Strategy, Places for Life, was created following a robust development process which involved collaboration across all our business areas. Led by our sustainability advisors, JustOne UK, we conducted detailed internal and external analysis, workshops and engagement to identify the sustainability issues that matter most to our stakeholders and businesses.
This resulted in a double materiality matrix which informed the creation of our strategy framework, goals and targets. Places for Life focuses on three key areas where we feel we can make the most impact: Our Communities, Our Environment and Our Business, supported by long-term goals that will ensure we take measurable and impactful action against these areas.
Places for Life will help us to realise our purpose, to create exceptional places and communities where people thrive, and is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and continuous reporting we will regularly review how our Strategy aligns with the SDGs.
ESG Governance
MEET THE ESG TASKFORCE
To ensure the success of Places for Life, we have created an ESG Taskforce to oversee progress against our goals and to ensure that they are implemented across all levels of the business. The ESG Taskforce is made up of senior representatives from every Caddick business, and chaired by Myles Hartley, Managing Director for Caddick Developments, with direct reporting to Caddick Boards. The ESG Taskforce were instrumental in the development of Places for Life, providing diverse opinions and solutions for all Caddick businesses. Throughout the strategy process, they worked closely with our sustainability advisors to ensure alignment with Caddick Group’s purpose and the SDGs.
