Caddick and Moda are bringing back the iconic Places for Life pavilion at this year’s UKREiiF. The space will be transformed into a village green, where visitors can engage in dynamic discussions on key issues shaping the built environment.

From the latest trends in BTR and sheds of the future, to new settlements and emerging regeneration hotspots, built environment experts will come together to understand how we can continue to create outstanding places and spaces that serve communities for years to come.

As well as a fantastic panel line-up, a series of invite-only lunches and launches for some of the industry’s top movers and shakers will be happening across the three days.

Tuesday 20th

ESG Breakfast Briefing: Built environment's unexpected challenges

8:30 - 9:30

This session invites a leading sustainability journalist to present their holistic take on the latest sustainability policies and initiatives, outlining what the sector needs to do to prepare for these changes, and explaining how we can ensure impact is generated outside of our built environment bubble.

The case for the Procurement Act

10:00 - 11:00

With the Procurement Act now in full force, is it doing as the government intended? Are we able to deliver a greater level of social value activity than before, or are we effectively freezing out small businesses from valuable opportunities? And could the public sector be doing more to ensure fairness and transparency?

Sheds of the Future

11:30 - 12:30

Industrial and logistics (I&L) spaces play a crucial yet often overlooked role in supporting housing delivery, with an estimated 231 million sq ft needed alongside 1.5 million homes by 2030. Beyond speed and scale, the focus must be on sustainable, tech-enableddevelopments that integrate with communities by creating jobs, amenities, and better transport links. The Sheds of the Future panel will bring together industry leaders to discuss how I&L can evolve to meet demand, while making a positive impact on people and places.

Who lives in BTR? Unpacking the data, trends and future of rental communities

15:00 - 16:00

An exclusive first look at the BPF’s latest Who Lives in BTR research will lead into a panel line up of operators, investors and experts to discuss what the data tells us about thedemographic of renters across the branches of the ever-expanding professionally managed rental sector. With major changes to legislation on the horizon and increasing product choices for potential residents, we ask what will bring residents to neighbourhoods, and what will keep them there for the long term.

Wednesday 21st

Next Stop, Digbeth: The latest brownfield regeneration site

8:30 - 9:30

Digbeth is undergoing a major transformation, establishing itself as a creative and cultural hub through a wealth of new residential, commercial, and leisure developments. This panel invites the local authority representatives, developers and architects bringing forward this transformational change, to discuss the lasting impact of key brownfield projects such as HS2, Stone Yard, the £260m Digbeth masterplan, and creative hubs such as Typhoo Wharf.

Leeds: An engine for growth

10:00 - 11:00

With the Bank of England, the National Wealth Fund and the Financial Conduct Authority all established in Leeds, the city has become a UK financial and professional services powerhouse, and a will play a crucial role of supporting the UK Government’s industrial strategy.

This panel discussion will bring together all three institutions alongside the city leadership to take a specific look at the strength, depth and development of the financial and professional services cluster in Leeds, to understand the opportunities that it presents to deliver on the Government’s growth ambitions.

This event is jointly hosted by Leeds City Council and Caddick.

Gateways and Growing Pains: Tackling the Building Safety Act

As the first schemes begin to pass through the Building Safety Act’s gateways, this panel will bring together sector leaders to share their valuable insights into the evolving landscape, exploring its role in reshaping safety standards across the construction industry. Panellists will examine key case studies such as Heron’s Yard in Newcastle as a means of understanding the opportunities and the limitations of the legislation.

New Settlements: The blueprint for new communities?

15:30 - 16:30

This panel will explore the role of new settlements in addressing the UK’s housing crisis, with a focus on balancing the creation of new communities with the revitalisation of existing villages, towns and cities.

Key topics will include best practice for integration with existing towns and cities, preservation of local heritage, and the best mix of tenures and amenities required to meet the needs of future residents.

Thursday 22nd

Building a career in property and construction

10:00 - 11:00

How do you engage with young people and help them consider career opportunities in the built environment sector? Following an earlier site tour of SOYO Leeds, young people from the local area will be attending a workshop on what the industry can offer the next generation.

YEP x Caddick: Debrief and keynote speaker, followed by networking lunch

11:30 - 13:00

YEP Yorkshire members to meet in the Pavilion and discuss learnings from the morning’s events across the conference. This will be followed by a fantastic farewell lunch and networking session.
